Asshole of the Month

Here’s a tip for all you drug dealers out there. If you’re going to hide drugs in your daughter’s jacket pocket, don’t forget to get it back before she goes to school.

Dennis Riker of Hillside, NJ, showed up at his daughter’s school Monday morning saying he had left his keys in his 6-year old daughter’s jacket pocket. School officilals wouldn’t let him see the girl because he was not the girl’s legal guardian — her grandmother was — so he called his mother to ask her to come down to the school. In the meantime school officials called her too, but believed the woman on the phone was an imposter.

The school principal decided things were a little suspicious and called the police, who arrived shortly after the real grandmother got there. When an officer checked the girl’s jacket he found 25 vials of cocaine and a half-ounce rock of crack.

Riker was charged with drug possession and possession of drugs within 1,000 feet of a school and is being held on $40,000 bail.

At least they didn’t charge the daughter. That’s what usually happens.
