Should this man be allowed to vote?

New Jersey wants to remove the word ‘idiot’ from it’s constitution because some nitwits believe it prevents people with mental disabilities from voting.

The section of the constitution in question states that “no idiot or insane person should enjoy the right of suffrage”. The wording they want to replace it with is “a person who has been adjudicated by a court of competent jurisdiction to lack the capacity to understand the act of voting.”

Huh? Are they insane or just idiots?

State Senate President Richard Codey says that the term ‘idiot’ is “outdated, vague, offensive to many and may be subject to misinterpretation.”

I use the word idiot all the time and the word is certainly not outdated or vague. The only word in the sentence they want to change that is outdated is ’suffrage’.

I do agree that the word idiot is offensive though. It’s supposed to be. If you’re an idiot you shouldn’t be voting. How is that subject to misinterpretation?

Codey says that people with cognitive or emotional disabilities may still be able to make decisions in a voting booth and they should not be discriminated against. Afucking monkey is capable of making decisions in a voting booth and I don’t even consider monkeys idiots, but do we want them voting?

There are way too many idiots voting already and it appears that the Democrats will take any vote they can get, but then again, which party do you think has the most idiots?
