Why I Love Working on the Net
I run several Internet companies and 100% of my business is Internet based. That means that not only am I upwordly mobile, I’m just plain mobile.

Last summer we spent a week at a cabin in the mountains and thanks to my laptop and my mobile phone (that I’d forwarded all of my calls too), no one knew I wasn’t hard at work in my office.

I go to several conventions during the year and take frequent short vacations with my family and never have to worry that when I get back to the office I’ll have a mountain of emails to sift through and hours worth of voice mails to listen to, because I’ve taken care of all of that while I was gone.
Thanks to the new wireless Internet PC cards available through Verizon and Sprint, now all you need is a laptop and a cell phone signal and you’re connected to the Net and your email. We won’t even have to worry about finding hot spots in cafes, or looking for hotels with Internet connections anymore. We can sit on the beach, by the pool in the backyard, or in a tent on the top of a mountain. Admittedly, the technology has a way to go before it’s totally reliable, but it won’t be long.
Sure, taking a real vacation and getting away from the office is important and a great way to recharge our batteries, but I find it far more relaxing knowing that while I’m gone I’m going to be able to deal with an emergency if one pops up and won’t lose out on a good business deal because I was unavailable.
Sitting by the pool at a beach resort with my laptop beats the hell out of sitting in my office any day. BTW, I’m writing this while I’m sitting under an umbrella and watching my wife and daughters building sand castles.

Amazing… I’m writing this comment from my office, under the shadow casted through the window by the raining clouds. Thank you Internet.

I was going to say, “Great job on taking advantage of what the internet has to offer an entrepreneur!” But then I read the part about writing the post from the beach…. now I just hate you.

Well, when the beach is only 45 minutes away it makes it nice.
