You will Feel a Little Prick
The doctor’s unions in Romania are hacked off over a decision to make a doctor pay about $200,000 in damages after he hacked off a patient’s penis.
The doctor claims he was under a lot of stress (who isn’t?) and became upset when he accidentally cut the patient’s urinary channel while performing surgery to correct a testicular malformation, so he cut off the man’s penis with his scalpel, placed it on the operating table and proceeded to cut it into small pieces. I believe in Romania that particular technique is referred to as the ’slice and dice’.
The vice president of the Romanian Doctor’s Union says that this “is a dangerous precedent for all Romanian doctors. In the future doctors may have to think very carefully about what work they undertake.”
The director of the ophthalmology hospital in Bucharest, Monica Pop, agrees and says that if doctors have to worry about paying for their mistakes, they’ll just avoid cases where they can make mistakes.
Mistake? How do you accidentally slice off a guy’s penis and then continue to chop it up into pieces? The only mistake was awarding the poor bastard a measly $200,000 in damages. If I was him I’d use it to hire a hitman for the doctor and then I’d go pop Monica in the fucking mouth.

I’m with you on that. Ignorant people not taking responsibility for their actions. I question American doctors, let alone third world mother fuckers with a scalpel. I wonder what Doc would think if we chopped his dick off and cut it up. What was he plannin on doing, having a wiener roast?

I was a Doctor, of Medicine. Educated in Thessaloniki and practiced in Athens and now in Corinthe. People forget that Doctors are only men. We have emotions just like you. And they also do not and can not relate to mountains of stress Operations can inflict on a man. I for one feel for this Doctor. Romania is well KNOWN for the shortage of pay and longest of hours their Doctors are pressed under. And when any Doctor is forced to perform a “non-essential” operation, he is often in a hurry to get to an Operation so save some other man’s life. In Greece as well as Romania only the very rich receive any type of not life threatening or not physically impeding Operations. I for one can understand having to Operate on these patients while poorer needy patients wait. It makes you angry, and you wish to perform the Operation as quickly as possible. And if you perform too quickly you may make a mistake, which takes longer to fix. So you end it quickly although messy. It is worth it for greater good.

Well Mitrus, I can only hope I never need an operation from a doctor that doesn’t care about his patients.
As for wanting to finish quickly or getting frustrated during an operation, I’m thinking it would make more sense to punch a nearby nurse rather than cutting off someone’s body part as a way of relieving tension.

You also show a lot of insensitivity toward nurses. In Romania as well as Greece, most nurses are men. To “punch” a near by nurse as you recommend would be illegal as well as immoral in those cases.

And when did I say a doctor was not permitted to feel emotion? Everyone feels emotions, but intelligent people learn how to deal with them and don’t cut off someone’s penis because they’re having a bad day.
I do find it interesting that it’s illegal to punch a nurse, but apparently it’s perfectly okay to slice off a patient’s penis and cut it into little pieces.

All that I say is that when a true man is willing to put his life and body in the hands of someone else, especially a Doctor, he should accept what happens. Its a very simple concept. And honorable.

LOL. I think i both see your points. Hammer it is quite obvious Dr Mitrus has no sense of humor or at least doesn’t get yours.
Dr Mitrus we all have respect for doctors and understand their frailties but in this case the doctor is clearly on the wrong. Please don’t take it as a personal insult against all doctors including you. As Hammer said he can get frustrated but he could have vented it out in a less psychotic way. BTW in your personal opinion could the doctor have suffered a nervous breakdown then?
